Bi-CoV® sampling kit is used to collect biological material from the front of the nose or oral cavity, and transport the sample to the laboratory for PCR detection of SARS-CoV-2. The solution in the kit ensures gradual decomposition of the viral particles (68.4 % decrease in virulence after 1 h; 96.6 % after 24 h), release of the nucleic acids (RNA) into the solution, and their protection from degradation. Isolation is not necessary in the laboratory as the sample is already prepared for PCR analysis.
Bi-Micro® sampling kit is used to collect biological material from different anatomical locations, and transport the sample to the laboratory for PCR diagnostics. The solution in the kit ensures the gradual decomposition of viral particles and bacterial cells, the release of nucleic acids (DNA/RNA) into the solution, and their protection from degradation. DNA/RNA isolation is not necessary in the laboratory as the sample is already prepared for virus and bacteria analysis by PCR.
Designed for near-patient testing, this rapid quantitative immunochromatographic test swiftly distinguishes the cause of incipient respiratory or acute infections, whether viral or bacterial. Based on the detection of the MxA protein, a specific biomarker for viral infections, the test uses a small capillary blood sample. Results are efficiently available within 20 minutes and are quantified using Bi-Reader® by Chembio Diagnostics GmbH, distributed by Bioinova.
